How it works

Three steps, no pressure, no fee

I’m an independent agent, so I compare plans from multiple carriers and I’m paid by the carrier you choose — your premium is the same either way.

1. A 15‑minute call

Tell me about your doctors, your prescriptions, and how you use your coverage. Phone, video, or in person around Lodi & Stockton — your choice.

2. A side‑by‑side comparison

I check that your doctors are in‑network and your medications are covered, then show you the two or three plans that actually fit — with the costs in plain numbers.

3. I stay your person

Enrollment is the beginning. When a bill looks wrong, a plan changes, or you move, you call me — not a 1‑800 number.

Local knowledge

The details that change which plan is right in Lodi & Stockton

Medicare Advantage networks and Part D formularies are local. Two neighbors on the same street can need different plans because of where their doctors practice. Before recommending anything, I check the plan against the hospital systems people here actually use:

  • Adventist Health Lodi Memorial
  • St. Joseph’s Medical Center (Dignity Health), Stockton
  • Adventist Health Dameron, Stockton
  • Kaiser Permanente facilities in Stockton and Manteca
  • Sutter Health clinics across San Joaquin County

If you already have a doctor you trust, the first thing we do is make sure you keep them.

Resources worth knowing

HICAP — California’s free Medicare counseling program. The Northern California office covers Sacramento, San Joaquin, Yolo, and Placer counties. 1‑800‑434‑0222

Medicare — for claims, cards, and general questions. 1‑800‑MEDICARE (1‑800‑633‑4227)

Social Security — to sign up for Parts A and B. 1‑800‑772‑1213 or ssa.gov/medicare

I’m not affiliated with any of these agencies. I list them because a good agent should be one of several places you can turn.

Timing

The three windows that matter

Turning 65

Your Initial Enrollment Period runs 7 months: the 3 months before your birthday month, that month, and 3 after. Still working with employer coverage? You may be able to delay Part B — let’s check before you decide.

October 15 – December 7

Annual Enrollment. The one time each year everyone can change Medicare Advantage or Part D plans for January. Plans change every year; a review is worth 15 minutes even if you’re happy.

Your birthday month

California’s birthday rule lets people with a Medicare Supplement switch to an equal or lesser plan each year without health questions. Most people don’t know it exists.

Questions

Medicare in Lodi & Stockton, answered

Do you meet in person in Lodi or Stockton?

Yes. I’m in Acampo, so Lodi, Woodbridge, Galt, and Stockton are all close. Many clients prefer phone or video; either way there’s no fee.

Which Medicare Advantage plans work with St. Joseph’s or Lodi Memorial?

It changes every plan year, which is exactly why I check networks before recommending anything. Tell me your doctors and hospital and I’ll show you which plans include them for the coming year.

I’m turning 65 and still working. Do I have to sign up now?

Often not, if you have coverage through an employer with 20 or more employees. The exceptions are where people get burned, so it’s worth a short call before you decide.

What does it cost to work with you?

Nothing. I’m paid by the insurance carrier when you enroll, and your premium is the same whether you use an agent or sign up directly.
